kak111 has given a detailed analysis of all analog PLC in- and output in post #77. Which signal assignment is still unclear?
what M0, V0, M1 & V1 in the EM 235 (E1) Module ?
EM235 has only one analog output with voltage output terminals M0/V0 and four analog inputs A - D. EM232 has two analog outputs with terminals M0, V0, M1, V1.

More generally, I don't understand which point you're up to. There should be no doubt that a potentiometer usually connects to analog inputs of PLC and VFD speed setpoint terminals to analog outputs? It's also obvious, that the motor control function in your machine is performed by the PLC.

Potentiometer analog signals A+ , A- , B+ , B- , C+ , C- , D+ & D- goes to analog inputs of module EM235 .
EM235 includes 12 bit A / D converters where incoming analog values are converted to a binary numeric values ,
these 12 bit numeric values are taken via PLC inner bus to the CPU for processing.
These values are named in drawning as AIW0 , AIW2 , AIW4 and AIW6 . ( AIWx = analog input word number x )
This means that CPU can see the pot.meter RP1 position (A+,A-) as 12 bit binary variable named AIW0 and
perform programmed calculations by using variable AIW0.
Same processing is done with other analog inputs.

Results of these calculations are named binary variables ( for example AQWx = analog output word number x ).
These variables has been exported to the D / A converters in analog output modules, which are converting these
binary variables to the analog signals (+ /-10V) for module outputs.

These analog signals are wired to the inverter speed-command inputs.

Cause i want to tell you one thing that these A1 & AC1, A2 & AC2, A3 & AC3, A4 & AC4, A5 & AC5, A6 & AC6 , A7 & AC7 are going into their respective YASKAWA inverters (where the pots should be connected to control the speed of the motor) ......

Speed command for inverters are the results of several mathematical calculations and comparisons, which is influenced
by numerous parameters.

Only way to find out what are these math. functions and -operations is to get the PLC-program list and the name list of
used mnemonic names for variables , parameters , registers , timers, etc.

what M0, V0, M1 & V1 in the EM 235 (E1) Module ?
are these the outputs only ?

In tech manual EM 235 has one analog signal output. Output range, voltage -10 to +10 V or current 0 to 20 mA. (M0,V0)

L+ is the positive 24Vdc supply voltage for inputs and modules.

PLC Cpu 226 type 6ES7 216-2AD23-0XB0 power supply is 24Vdc
PLC Cpu 226 type 6ES7 216-2BD23-0XB0 power supply is 240Vac

again there's a problem in the same printing machine ......... the outfeed pot i.e. AIW4+ is not giving the right output as the remaining three pots are giving i.e. AIW0+, AIW2+ & AIW6+ ....... outfeed pot is just stuck to one position ....... when i checked manually (with hands) by rotating the swing arm the voltage on the " EM 235 E1 " varies nicely & smoothly ....

is it a mechanical issue ?

thanks
