I am interested in your transistor tester. I was thinking of buying the Peak Atlas tester, but yours may be better. I have a few questions:

1. Can you give a comparison between yours and the Peak Atlas?

2. Is (or can) your LCD display in English? (if there is any actual text anyway)

3. I understand you do not want to release the code, but what about fixes/updates?

4. Would you supply the schematic and PCB diagrams with a programmed PIC, so I could make my own?

For God sake someone give the schematic or atleast the component overlay digrame of the pcb at this time I only have the pcb image from the orignal site

The instrument will be available in kit in Europe on January 15th. You can download datasheet and all specifications.

If you have been following this thread tehn yes there is a software upgrade the PCB is still the same and theres an add on for opto-isolators and you will aslo would have noted that the hex file is no longer available as it has been sold in kit form.

yes right just published by elektor, or elektuur dutch version, i have seen "demonstration" on rosmalen /s'hertogdenboch nederland elektonic's market's bargain on 19 march, price for board and programmed pic about 30 euros.

Would be interesting to know which software version is published in Elektor.
I dont think it is 1.4 but I can be wrong.
This is also the first Elektor project I know where only the hex file is downloadable,
but no source code.

Rubi:
It's Rev 1.3, the same file that is available for download here on the EDA board. There are a few differences in the circuit itself in the Elektor article. They used a different display which required adding a couple of capacitors and a resistor.

Oh I see.
Because 2 month ago I bought from Mike95 the Revision 1.4 .
He was so kind to sell it too me without the kit.
It would have been a little annoying, when the same revision is now free for
download from Elektor.

But anyway this great transistor tester was definitly worth the investion.
Btw. did you know that the tester even recognices germanium transistors !!!
Unbelievable five stars for the developer.
