I have the same problem if using > COM3, using <COM3 everything works fine. U can use both baud rates.

I have DXP 2004 and Orcad library file can open files Orcad layout file *.max and *.llb.
I like the ICD2 Clone v2.3 SMD 2004 I believe that this pcb this one very well.

In crazyduck's ICD2, can i just use 7407 instead of 74LS07, its because it's difficult for me to obtain it here in RP. Will the use of 7407 affect the programming/debugging capability of the ICD2 compared to if you use 74LS07?

Both firmware and MCU you're using are wrong.

You must use a 16F877A, and the firmware "BootLoader" attached by Zaphod42 in the first page of this topic.

I just want to ask you what is the characteristics of the FDS4435 that made you choose it in the ICD, so that I can choose the proper replacement for the transistor since it is unavailable at our place. Is it have to be a power P-MOSFET, or can handle large currents, or must be with low channel resistance? Thanks.

You can use any P-MOSFET you want. I use power mosfet, because my ICD2 give the pwer supply to the debug board.

the config of taget pic 876a is 0x3f39 means that fuse is all right. I have read the taget 876a, the fuse bit "DEBUG"is enable. so i cann't find anything will cause this, plz hel p me on this !

...It means your compiler must add add some debugging stuff to the code.
I'm using CCS-C compiler, so I gotta use the following preprocessor command:
#device ICD=TRUE
I dunno what compiler you're using... so check the user's manual.

What other PIC devices in which this RS-232 ICD2 can be used with aside from PIC16F87X? Can it be used for the PIC18F devices? Can it be used also to debug PIC programs written in C through compilers like PICC?
