8051microcontroller

I suggest Mazidi book, because it is very good for beginners in 8051. You can able to get the concepts crisp and clear from that book. Also use Kenneth.J.Ayala for reference. It is also a nice book. U cal also go to 8052.com, en.wikipedia.org to get more knowledge about 8051.

microcontroler 8051

I do not start studing 8051 yet and want to start. I think to srart it with Assembly language is not easy and C language is easy for 8051 pregramming. Please recommend me any book for 8051 with C language.

Programming 8051 in C is easier than that in assembly and you will understand the C programming logic very well.But you cannot fully explore the features of 8051 if u only know to programming in c.I think its better for you to first do start with assembly then change to C.

What crystal frequency and what approach:
1. Time killing delay loop.
2. Using timer counter.
for simple application use 1, if the uC is not expected to do other things during this 1 min interval.

Do It Yourself is the best method to get started along with reading books and other resources.
Learn by practicing. If you have any doubts then post in the forum.

So buy a "89S" series microcontroller from Atmel, build a ISP programmer like and get started.

'final word on 8051' is good book for efficient programer. but for a beginner mazidi is better.
i will suggest you to go through initial chapters of mazidi and then switch over to 'final word on 8051'.
look for examples in mazidi.
