why 74xx series ic used in electronic boards

You mean, with which are made uCs ?

CMOS for inner logics
TTL for external interface
 

No I mean to say which logic gamily is best suit for microcontroller output purpose

Don't matter, both electrical standards are compatible with each other.
You can plug any kind of gates at uC I/Os, irrespective whether are TTL or CMOS type.
