best compiler to c for pics

i suggest

PIC Basic
C2C
CSC
Proteus

and a combinations of a compiler and hex generator as well as C and an inline
assembly language

thanks

PROTON PLUSS COMPILER ICD IS THE BEST IS WONDERFULL BETER THE BASED "C" COMPILER

I think css easy to use

mikrobasic lib

hi,

There is several C compiler. I think Hi-Tech is good to use.

regrads,

i2s ccs compiler

HiTech C has good code optimisation

pic best compiler

hi tech is good 4 use i use this mentioned compiler and it ful fills all my needs an requirements i strongly recommend this
have a nice day

best compiler for the pic

I can recommend B Knudsen's ( www.bknd.com ) compiler. Interface is integrated into MPLAB and produces quite good code, even for the smallest derivates...

best compiler for pic18

I stick to Hi-tech's PICC Compiler. very reliable, however it has a cost and if you can't pay for it, you can only use it for 21 days. YOu can also use Hi-tech's PICLite, a freeware version of PICC although it can only be used for fewer PIC devices, but can be used unlimitedly

what is the best pic compiler

Well it actullay depends upon what features are you looking for in the compiler.

Hi to all,
I use CCS PCWH - very good with nice interface. I'm not planning to use anoher...

best pic compiler has bugs

using MPlab from microchip is the best it is free there are many sample progam on the net.

pic compiler ccx

I have been using CCS at the beginning, but once I have switched to C18, I realised that C18 is much better.
You can't have number of source files using CCS, everything should be contained in a one source file.
You can not have pointers to ROM using CCS.
And yes, CCS contains some build in functions which C18 does not have, like interrupts for example, but that just makes you more difficult to debug I think.
Anyway, the bottom line is that I would go for C18
That is just my opinion

best pic c compilator

www.mikroelektronika.co.yu have great compilers for c, pascal and basic. They are excellent for beginners. But real thing is MPLAB (assembler). With MPLAB you can get the best code optimization.

I suggest you choose CCS or Hitech C as PIC compilers. It is more and more convenient because it support C language (common language)

proton ide compiler

C18 is the C language as well
CCS contains more non standard C functions

the best c compiler for pic

CCS too....

i2s pic code

I started to use Microchip C18 after stuck with code generation
bugs of Hi-Tech...
Tough C18 has some too, but I found workarounds.

best pic basic compiler

Hi, I am new here, and I want to answer about which is the best PIC compiler. From my experience, where I have studied Electronics Eng. in Jordan, and now I am peruseing my graduate studies in Taiwan in Electrical En. department. I would like to say:

In the beginnig of my using PIC I have chosen PIC 16F877 which its very good one and it has many capabilites, so I searched about a good programmer kit then I found a programmer kit (TK3) from www.epemag.com which was such a nice Kit and it can be built by yourself...

I didn't like to program with assembly language, so I tried to find high level language to do my first project which was "CNC drilling machine" and it contained many thing to control like Stepper motors, kypad, LCD, and LEDs.

The first high level language was JAL (Just Another Lang.) it is a bretty one and very easy to use, you can find it on the web: http://www.voti.nl/jal/index_1.html.

Then for my second graduate project which was Home Automation, I wanted to use a scientific language which was C-copiler CCS from: www.ccsinfo.com, and I used it to program high level PIC which is PIC 18F458, you can purchase it just for $130.

From my experience the best thing to do is:
- Download Mplab from www.microchip.com and install it on your PC.
- Install CCS compiler,
- Install Plugin software to plugin CCS in Mplab, then you can write your C program in MPlab and compile it with CCS.
- Buy ICD2 from www.microchip.com
- Buy a suitable kit from www.microchip for your applcation.

Finally, Have fun.

Hello,
CCS C is popular and easy to use but it is NON-ANSI C compiler.
Bye
