trnasfer function relates two nodes in a ckt as a function of time and other ckt parameters.....it just indicates how much a signal is modified or transfered fro 1 point to other ..
 

What is transfer fuction

Its simply the ratio of laplace transform of output to the laplace transfor of input..

If Y is the output and X is the input with Y(s) and X(s) being their laplace transform,then the transfer funtion of the circuit is,

H(s) = Y(s)/X(s)

We use this in the circuit analysis to find the poles,zeros and analyse the stability of the system..
