For a mosfet in saturation the thermal noise is i^2 = 8/3*kT*gm. What is it in the triode region? Do you just treat it as a resistor such that i^2 = 4kT/Rds?

I guess it's 4kT/gm instead of 4kT/Rds.

yes, treat it as
i^2 = 4kT/Rds
