I have some firmware files which are attached but no longer have the USB uploader.

Please note that I do not represent Simcom and I am unable to provide any technical information or assistance.

Hi

I have bought development board based on SIM900, but program for SIM900 micro controller seems to have a lot of bugs and I can't finish my project based on this board (my project is SIM card tester based on arduino Duemilanove + SIM900 - but after changing one SIM card to another, SIM900 sometimes needs few restarts before SIM card can register to the network)
So i want to ask you for latest version of firmaware and loader for firmware for SIM900.
This is what AT+GSV command gives:

SIMCOM_Ltd
SIMCOM_SIM900
Revision:1137B01SIM900M64_ST_ENHANCE_Jablotron

Hello Iban and Sherazi
I hope you are doing good with SIM908. This time I have noticed a very surprising thing from my SIM900. I have been working on it over year but never noticed that. I recently found that while flashing SIM900 core firmware, it is overwriting the IMEI# of module to some random different no. It occurs when you load the EAT-firmwares on a new module. Modules are very much working and connecting network, but all of them has same IMEI#, which is point of concern. We tried to reload general firmware to check if it get back the actual IMEI# printer on modules, but it is a negative. I also tried to load EAT firmware on a new SIM908 module to check if it overwrite the actual IMEI# and it did, the IEMI# got changed/overwrote by loading EAT firmware. Unfortunately I didn't find any solution to this issue till now. Also did not find any way to rewrite the IMEI#.

So check your devices or module if you noticed the same issue.

For my SIM900A I use-1137B09SIM900B32_ST!!!
Works great with European networks!!!

Thank you very much you saved me many problems, the store in aliexpress sent me sim900A instead of SIM900. Even I killed one unit flashing it with 1137B09SIM900B32_ST, I didn't notice that my modules were 64_ST.

Regards

Just use this command to reload the original IMEI:

AT+SIMEI="your imei"

Just use this command to reload the original IMEI:

AT+SIMEI="your imei"

Thank you Kosh, you have just helped me to solve a months long issue. I have used this AT command before, but my syntax was wrong. It is very important to put 15 digit IMEI # in double quote, i.e "IMEI#" SIM900 Module. I will check with SIM900A module later.

Hi!!
I'm getting this error (see image) while downloading the fw to a SIM900
SIM900UpgradeError.jpg
I'm using an Arduino Nano to send the fw, directly connected to the Tx and Rx of SIM900 Shield as some tutorials over the internet say, but no success...
Any help??
