There are many, many others as well. And there are many
archived discussions about their pros and cons.
LTSpice has nothing to do with IC design, it is a nice
enough tool, especially since it's free and integrated
with a schematic capture and a waveform viewer. But
you will find no PDKs for any foundry flow, supporting
it.
Cadence, that's what you use if you're spending
somebody else's money. It's one of the supported-
everywhere tool sets, for foundry tapeouts. Everybody
hates them, just like Microsoft, and for similar reasons
(but Microsoft looks like a cuddly little bunny when it
comes to pricing and license terms).
