Series resistor sets impedance?

@neazoi never mentioned a cable between 10k resistor and load (filter). Even if it's rather short (length << lambda/4), it involves a parallel capacitance for a load with ZL > Z0 and dwarts the idea of driving the load with high impedance. Problem is that some participants assumed a cable in this place and others (like me) expected it on the generator side. So we where partly talking on cross purposes.

It's well substantiated to ask for a sketch or photo before starting to argue.
