Hi all,

I want to know to what extent Analog circuits are automated? aren't there ongoing researches to create something like FPGAs for analog circuits?

No, there are no important analog FPGA-like devices to my knowledge.

I have worked on an approach quite recently, but there
are few commercial offerings and nothing at all on the
scale that the digital guys enjoy.

Try FPAA as a keyword, you will find a lot of weak looking
stuff and nothing very practical. Not once you drill past
the hype, anyway.

Besides, once they automate analog I'm outta there.

So why FPAAs are not popular?
I believe that Analog will be automated later or sooner, I have some ideas but I am currently evaluating the present technology and its limitations.
