If the selected range in DMM is ohms and the supply is one (i.e. we had to check/measure voltages) then what would happen?

If the selected range in DMM is volts whether AC or DC and we had to check/measure ohms then what would happen ?

If the selected range in DMM is ohms and the supply is one (i.e. we had to check/measure amps) then what would happen?

If the selected range in DMM is amps whether AC or DC and we had to check/measure ohms then what would happen ?
