Problem with travel transformer

In this case, there's no obvious problem explaining the transformer failure, except for bad quality

Sometimes transformer windings wires are bad insulated with laquier and on higher temperature there is problem. I have somewhere in hard disk one old man old school transformer tutorial if I good remember in about 30 steps in manufacturing, I dont know what is price of that hand maded transformer but I'm pretty sure that is better then best transformer in NASA. I always say that good transformer is multi generation device, this is one of devices which can be immortal, unlike switchers PSU, and there is no switchers which can replace good standard transformer. :)

Sometimes users dont know quality of products, device works until stop under some malfunction. I'm shocked when I see some original mobile devices chargers and Chinese copy of that chargers, Chinese is several classes above original. Company is one of Nordic mobile manufacturer, I dont whant to say which, but I'm pretty shocked, and I cant beleive in that. I dont have photo to show up thise shame. In original trafo, trafo wires insulation, diodes, capacitor total catastrophe, in Chinese all like charm. I'm several times check is there some mistake in switching this chargers, but negative. Maybe there was some switching of products in transport but I dont know, this is selled direct in licenced shops. Maybe there is product difference for western/eastern markets as usually.

I didnt get any conclusion except this company trying to be competitive on market with Chinese product, and then go under quality to lower prices.

yes, factories in China copy producrs of some famous brands, however factories must re-design these parts, otherwise they infringe patent.
For magnetics components industry, there are many factories in China, some of factories can supply good products, there are advance manufacture technology and automatic machines and strict quality controling system in factories, however price is maybe higher, when happen quality in customer side, factory can response quickly, however some small factories does not do so.
So I still strong advice you select formal factories, if you will buy mass products from China, please audit factory first, then run small order, until all are smooth, you do not worry about quality and delivery issue and service , you can purchase mass products, I think you are safety if so.

i would say something to your eager post

not all the goods got from china are of no value

some are though as you said made from some poor quality raw products that could hamper the effective working of the device

the most common devices (not exaggerating ) i use are from china and i am very much satisfied by their performances

+1
china is the first in exports of most consumer goods & electronics and much more globally, it is normal in those enormous Quantities to be good and bad qualities
personally most of my equipment and components are chinese (and few japs and russian) and i am satisfied, but from time to time i receive some bad qualities wich end up in trash can

hahahaha! next time ill purchase something jap, i will check to be stocked on european warehouse!

i would check it! and i could never forget this date, 6th of november 2011, 6th september 2011 bad days..

Yes, humans should learn on their mistakes, I mean will be good to start, which is not the case. We recording events, studing history in schools but never learn and do something good from this records.

we can do now. we know that thhe whole world is through a financial crysis,we are still in a downtrend, the reverse is far enough (so some could still invest in this recession) also we see that there is no sollution and some day soon the EUR will fail, then what?...
anyway... history is good to study

never forget the fact that the japanese are still standing tall after teh mamoth land slide that it self is an achievement and i think they will find a way out of this also

with out counter :)
