PLL: Behavioral model

I am planning to do a PLL behavioral modeling project. However, currently still at a initial stage and would like to seek advices about the following criterias:

1. Planning to do the modeling by using MATLAB(simulink+M-file only) or SystemC. Any pros and cons between the two when doing PLL modeling?

2.Since i am doing the project alone, any advice about how to identify the required specifications?

3.Does well known system like W-CDMA has a fixed specifications for PLL? Any relevant document?

4. What are the must-include characteristics for behavioral PLL? I know it depends on what purpose i am using, but just need to have a general ideas about which area to focus on.

5. Any comment about why behavioral PLL model is important? the motivation to do it?

6. How is the difficulty to create the PLL behavioral model? How long can i forecast to finish the project?

My recommendation is to get some basic ideas on PLL modelling by looking at some b-oriented simulation programs (like VISSIM, SYSTEMVIEW, ....also APLAC...).
Here you can find some example files showing how a PLL can be modelled with some basic behavioral blocks.

Some software based on Berkeley 3f and XSpice seem to be a good environment for PLL modeling and simulations, I think. Free LT-Spice made by Linear is very fast and easy to run.

I wanted to make a simple PLL model in Ptolemy... and it was a little bit complicated, not as clear and easy as in Spice/XSpice.
