please help me,,problem with field calculator

I am doing some operation using field calculator. i have extracted real and imaginary value of Electric field to calculate the magnitude of Ez. But I got very strange answer. Sqrt(Ez^2+Eimg^2) is not equal to the Ez(that also i extracted from field calculator). ie, calculated Ez is not equal to simulated value of Ez. why??????????? pls help me..urgent.....
