This is really good document.

Have u ever tried autotune PID?
We have a PID algorith we are using it in industrial applications.
Now we want to add autotune feature to it,
Can u help me?

ccs pid

Can some body explain me the Relay Method of PID autotune, I don't understand it. I know this is the most used autotune method in the industry.

best pid algorithm

I found a very good Thesis about PID Relay method for autotune.
It's in portuguese but the code is easy to understand, the code is at the end.
this is the link:

Hi Fernando,

I tried to upload the acrobat file of that portuguese website.
But its giving some error.
Can you please send it to my e-mail ID.
I am in an extensive need of auto tune algorithm and code.i am doing one temperature control project. In that auto tuining functionality also i have to implement.

So kindly u mail me that acrobat file.

i also have some data + code regarding pid but it is for pic mc from elektor,
ack this msg i will upload it now.

thank you.

Hi,

Could you please give me the name of the Elektor project and the issue of the magazine ?

Hi Fernando,

I tried to download the acrobat file of that portuguese website.
It gets downloaded but its giving some error while opening with adobe acrobat.
Can you please send it to my e-mail ID.

We are planning to implement multiloop PID controller with autotune.

So kindly u mail me that acrobat file.

pid pic ccs

I am doing a pid project for temperature controller . I decided it to do using relay auto tuning method .The problem I faced was the system(heater) was not giving symmetric oscillations .So how can I make it symmetric so that I can extract the pid parameters Ku and Tu. From the sources I have read , what I came to know was that, applying a proper bias signal would give a symmetric oscillations .So now i got stuck in this part. It would be very helpful if anyone give directions for the above

pid autotuner

Dear all,
I am doing project "temperature control using PID controller" .when we go for relay auto tuning of PID controller,we have to Substitute a relay with amplitude d and from the desribing function we get the eqn Ku =4d/pa .
my doubt here how will i obtain d (ie.,relay amplitude)?
In order to analyse this , I first implented simple ON OFF(relay) temperature controller .From that I observed the oscillations getting are asymmetric around the setpoint .In order to get symmetric oscillations, i know that we have to select a suitable value for d ? Is there any theoretical method to find d? I really got stuck in this part . Considering the fact that i want to design completely automatic system , i want my miccrocontroller to find d rather than manually . So it would be very helpful if anybody give me a solution for this .
hopefully,

dear shubhamec,
if you are implementing pid in pic then I wonder why you are using 7135?Better you start muddling through several textbooks and pdfs.I would suggest that you start by getting a copy of Astrom and Hagglund's book.Hope this will give initial start you required.
