For mppt what are the different situations to use buck and boost

For High Power MPPT aplications like UPS/Inverter and Battery Chargers, it is efficient to consider buck topology. The reason is, the cable length is more between solar panel and MPPT charger in typical solar installation. So in the buck topology input current is always less than the output. This reduces cable drop or cable cost. For low power MPPT, we may use boost topology.

MPPT generealy should be onyl chosen from the good brands. I have one time buy, a fake one from China - it was only PWm, and terrible.
