Hi

Anyone familiar with good source where we can find equivelqng numbers for transistors?

I need equivelant for 2SA1213 smd transistor

Any help?

Hi,

you may find documents showing equivalent types.
Often there are no 100% equivalent types.

So from these documents, I may get an idea, but in either case I cross check the according datsheets .. especially for the values that are important for my application.

Example:
Let´s say they give an equivalent for a BJT.
It may be a suitable equivalent for "switching applications" .. but maybe unsuitabe regarding:
* linear operation
* gain
* noise
* temperature
.. and so on.

So - as I designer - I see it as my job to guarantee for proper operation of the whole application.

Used to be that "NTE" would sell individual bagged "replacement"
transistors at ham radio & TV repair places, had a faty cross
reference book and so on.

No idea whether they have survived the modern era or in what
form, where.

For older types often the discrete mfrs would have their own
cross-ref tables in their transistor databooks. Might look to
archive.org for those, what mfrs have survived seem to have
thrown away a lot of that king of thing (along with the part
types referred to).
