Dear Calibre expert:

I need to find out the density of a complex metal pattern on a chip. I run a DRC in Calibre but I cannot see any report anywhere mentioning the metal pattern density. Also to mention the metal density is within the min-max of the DRC deck so no DRC error is issued (otherwise I would see it of course).

Is there a way to get Calibre spit out layer densities even if they are within the DRC deck range?

In my experience, this practice was straightforward in PVS.

Thanks for any hint/help.

Kind regards,

Thanks but no, they didn't help very much. I can run the nmDRC but I am looking for the density information. Either these are written out to a file I cannot find or not written at all and I need to set some switch to enable writing them out.

OK, no answer. Probably the Calibre nmDRC is not capable of doing so. God bless PVS and its simple and easy to use features.

You need the SVRF command "Density" or "Density Convolve" depending on whether you want it just region by region, or more of a rolling average. See the SVRF manual for details and plentiful examples.

Best-

Sam.
