solution for display :1.0 error baddrawable

i am getting an error message "could not find libXft.so.i" while loading mentor tools.
but the file is present in /usr/lib and is present in the path.

solved by making a link to /usr/bin and put it in the folder /usr/X11R6

But i am trying to install IC Flow on fedora 10 and there is no X11R under /usr.

So, please help me regarding to solve the same issue.

please use scientific linux or cent os or RHEL if you want to use and of eda tool.

at least you will not get unknown errors..

RHEL 4 is best for Mentor tools, all are working. Use RHEL 4 Update 5.

i am not sure if i understand what you did but what i meant is to
make a symbolic link for the folder "bin" in the "/etc " and put that link in this path "/usr/X11R6" and make sure that that link is named as "bin"

I have the same problem, but in ubuntu (10.04) this folders doesn't exist, can you tell me how make my symbolic link?

May I ask you why Use FC-6???
If you Upgrade to FC-14 Then You may get several Options for EDA jobs, bith proprietary and free.

Then You are on your own, man. Why not initiate some dialogue with them regarding upgrading support for RHEL 5 and above
IIRC RHEL-7 is on the way.

i am running mentor tolls on rhel 5 and rhel 6 with no issues.

mentor supports them on rhel 5. ask your support or just install it and let me know if you get some errors.

is there any thing new in RHEL 6 which helps using CAD tool?
