Hi!
I am trying to add a possibility to play i2s stream locally on feasycom bt955/bt1036, i.e. use the module as i2s DAC. There are cheaper i2s DACs available but I will run everything though one module. Did anyone try / succeed with this? The i2s is possible to configure as input but it looks like it is mainly done for the A2DP Sender mode. Maybe someone tried similar things on other modules / vendors and can advise.

I tried to program the module to i2s input and adjust other parameters but the output is mute. The input i2s is OK according to what I see on the oscillograph.

Hi,

Your text does not give much information for me.

what about sending links to datasheets or internet sites.

You write oyu want to use it as DAC .. so who is the I2S master? and it´s configuration /code?
Maybe a wiring diagram or a sketch is useful, too .. for us to see what you (try to) do.

Hi!

Thank you for answering. I attach programming guide and datasheet for BT1036 even though I am using BT955 at the moment. My experiments shown that BT1036 description is closer to the truth and much more complete.

Then, the host is ESP32 S3. I am using the audio library by schreibfaul1. I have used it for other projects with other I2S DACs successfully (e.g. Max98357). I attach a crcuit diagram that is relevant for the problem. The module is configured via UART on-the-fly by the host. The set up works well for bluetooth sink mode.
