i purchased a EPBM-COM Bluetooth module in order to send information from my computer to and from the arduino mega. i connexted the tx on the module to the rx on the arduino and the rx to the tx. i hooked up the 3.3v and ground and my pc can detect it but i can not send and recieve info. im not sure if i need to connect anything else electrically or if the code im using is wrong

Hi

Computer output signal is in RS232 level (+/- 12 V) and Bluetooth module signal level (probably) +/0 3v you will need a level shifter like MAX232 to convert signal level from +/- 12V to +/0 3v level

All the best

i just figured out what was wrong this morning. i did some more research and found out that i had to put some resistance to change the voltage of the tx/rx from the arduino. the chip said it needed 3.3v so i thought that it only needed that at power but it also only reads that voltage on the tx/rx
