Dear tpeter,

I have 44E 102 Hall Sensor but it is not giving analog voltage ,it gives 0V and 5V means logical output.

What can I do for Ammeter?

You can not use this with logical output level..
I did some test with Analog Hall Sensor has this one
Honeywell ref: SS94A1F range +-100 Gauss
and use the core of a litle trafo 230V/9V after removing the coils.. to measure DC current..
The sensor is inserted inside the core , and a big wire is wounded aroud it tocreate the magnetic flux
measured by the sensor..

an Results are encouraging ...
But Now i am waiting for this interface , ordered last week in China...very cheap
it has an ACS712 , dedicated circuit with inbuild Hall effect sensor ...
and will test it very soon..
this model exist also for 20Amps..

Dear I want to measure current 0-500A.I was goggled and found attached PDF ,they have hall effect sensors upto 950A.

Do you neeed 950A average value or peak value..

CSLA2EN 1a 6 to 12 20 950 Vcc/2 2.3 0.2 ±.007 3

is for 950A peak value.. if 950 Amps constant , risk of burning ...
else it could be correct
with only one wire inside the core
950x0.0023 => 2.185V
and if power supply is 6V
it will give for +950A => 6/2 + 2.185= 5.185V
or if reverse way current -950A
6/2 - 2.185= 0.815 V

Your question was Car battery current measurement. You can use a 30A sensor available at rhydolabz.com You won't get 100A or 500A in a Car or any Vehicle.

Actually I want to measure current at AC 220V load upto 300A but sensors are available to 950A.

If hall effect sensor is not effective so please let me know how to built current transformer for 300/5A or 300/1A or 300/10mA.

ABB has a lot of current transformers (contactless type). You can try them.

I need to build volt/amp meter at home and successfully built but focused issue is sensing input current.

Do you any input circuit for converting AC input volts to level of ATmega8 input ADC.

it 's a DC current .. and normal value in battery is usually less than 30A
Now your request is AC current and up to 500A.. or more ?
you better have to explain in details what is the purpose of your request
to avoid loose time for the people who want to help you.
