Bike dynamo: producing current from rotating wheel (low amperage in device's specs)

My phone charger states output current 1200 mA.

I am not a geek here, so don't know how it works. It's a Nokia E52 battery of type BL-4L charging with AC-10e charger.

Sorry, I cannot explain it better than I already have.
Perhaps someone else can provide a better explanation.

Well ur phone is probably a way different. It would make sense & I would understand how it works 100%. Here, when MY phone takes all the generated current, I have no idea how the LiPo accu is charged.

Your battery is rated at 1500mAh, so at 900mA charging rate it would fully charge in about 1hr40min and then the phone's charger would cut off.

Then all the 900mA would go into the LiPo.

The Nokia AC-10e is a simple 5V power supply, it does NOT have a battery charger circuit for a Li-Po battery. The battery charger circuit is inside the phone.
It will cause your external Li-Po battery to EXPLODE or CATCH ON FIRE!!!
But your external battery might have a protection circuit in it which is ALSO NOT a charger circuit.

My camera also has a Nokia BL-4L battery and it also has a Li-Po charger circuit inside. The charger circuit is powered from a 5V power supply.

Audioguru,
Have you read the thread from the start - particularly the link to the unit in post #8 and my post #10?

The unit has an internal Li-Po battery and its power is available at a USB socket - which as standard provides 5V, so he can plug his phone into it to charge exactly as it would from a mains charger.

That unit was recommended but the OP keeps talking about an external battery, not that charging dynamo with attached battery.

My impression was that he was talking about that unit, but he couldn't understand how its 900mA output could charge his phone and its own Li-Po battery at the same time.

Perhaps he will clarify his views for us.

That's right. My AC-10e charger states 1200 mA, then I did not understand, when & how the dynamo's battery would charge if only 900 mA current is maximally produced.

But this kind user explained, that first the phone battery with 900 mA current is charged (taking about 2 hours), and then the dynamo's 1000 mAh starts charging.
