ARES (PCB design) LCD connection

hi everyone
actually I have problem into connection of LCD the track comes over each other,
can I use bus to send data I mean common all pins of port D and then connected to uc ?
plz help

There is no bus in the PCB, you have to use individual tracks.
What is the problem exactly, why are the tracks over eachother?
Is it the width of the tracks or should they be is different layers or you don't know how to connect the mcu traces to the LCD traces?

actually i mean the d0-d7 of LCD connected to rd0-rd7 of pic , should I connect each pin to pin ?
because I want to use just bottom copper that's why it fall to each other .

Yes you connect pin to pin and I don't see how they fall one over the other,it should be 8 straight lines
maybe a picture could explain your problem.

actually i think if i use the autotracing it will be solved , but there is another problem i have button in my circuit which PCB can't support it ? what should I do ? if i want to make package for this button should i just draw small box and put two pad for that and make it package ? do u think then button will be solder as proper way ?
any suggestion ? thank you
 

You can either put separate pads in the right distance (button pins) or you can create a component,
to do that select the package mode (ARES) and place a similar component (I like to have a starting point) and right click and select decompose,
then add the pads you need in the correct distances, select all the pads and right click make package.
You can include the blue info text when you select the pads and all the properties will be filled so you just have to change a couple of names.
Save it in a user library and you are done.
You can also add it as a package to a schematic (ISIS) button , right click on the button (in ISIS schematic ) and select make device (save it to user lib too, don't overwrite the original) and add the new package or you can use packaging tool (ISIS right click too) to add a pcb package only for the specific schematic.
You can just use your PCB package in ARES with no component connection if you want.

I really appreciate your help Alex, as you said its really better make just pads with right distance and connect it to my microcontroller.
I took this steps to make pcb, from isis i [ressed ares and it went to ares environment then I draw the box and set auto placer and then adjust the component position and then set autotracer, at last I use power generator for identify the ground and vcc.
is it right ?

I this is my first time to make pcb I have another question about hardware? while I printed this schematic on the board , Do I need to solder the blue line (bottom copper) and red line (top copper), it means solder these lines also ? right?

the autotracer will not recognize the new pads as part of the design, you can either connect them using tracks manually or use ratsnest mode to draw the green connection lines and then the autorouter will connect them.

The blue and red layer are connected with vias (when a vias is placed) or where a pin is soldered in both sides,
you will not be able to make vias at home.

You mean the procedure to develop an actual PCB?
If you have never done a PCB then you should start from a single layer, the double layer is more difficult because both layers have to be aligned exactly.
I would suggest you start with a very simple LM317 power supply that uses a small PCB area because you will probably need to throw away the first PCBs.

and one more note, you are using a very thin track size, for home development start at 25mil or more and you will probably be able to go down to 10-15mil later.

There are many guides if you try google, search for homemade pcb

thank you very much for ur advice but my time is limited I need to submit my project next two weeks , therefore can't go for practical , as you said I will change the size of layer definitely it will be better.
If you are interested in my project this is temperature and light monitoring system for aquarium, also I need to control servo motor robot as an actuator of this system.
if you are familiar with controlling servo motor I can ask you my question and post the program for you (using PIC, mplab and hitech compiler ).
I just have problem on delay parts.

Unfortunately I have never used PIC, mplab or hitech.
I use AVR with AVRstudio and winAVR (avr-gcc).

The fastest way would be to develop the PCB in a local shop that can do that job, you can use two layers if you want but the cost will be higher.
If the project is not very complicated you can probably do it with one layer by moving or rotating the components so that traces can be routed.

You are also using a zone in the blue layer which leaves the copper in the empty areas (usually for screening in HF), was that your intension?

yep same as me I also used AVR (codevision) I think its really better than PIC but the thing is the lecturer said you have to use PIC (I dun know the reason ) .
no i did not intent anything actually as i said i just use auto placer then set the position of component and then use the auto tracer . thats it .
I will try to rotate the component for developing the pcb with one layer.

does the pcb has any problem now ?

The zone is not added automatically, anyway you can remove it if you want by using the zone mode tool, right click two times on the border of the zone and it will be deleted.

The position of the capacitors of the crystal can be swapped so that they can be connected to the crystal with a straight track,
also the crystal is usually placed close to the xtal pins so move the resistors to the right and place the crstal l and caps closer to the xtal pins.

mm i tried what u said but actually i didn't get what do you mean by zone ? you mean the empty spaces ? how can I delete all the traces ? because I want to redraw it again.

sir another question ? what is the operation of via exactly ? it just a hole for what ?
 

The zone is the semitransparent blue area,it is supposed to be copper fill, if you zoom out you should be able to view the borders of that semitransparent blue area and delete it .

To delete the traces select the tool that draws the tracks (only tracks are selected this way) and select the area with tracks that you want to delete, you should see them selected, then click delete.

alex i can see the zone but once i want to delete it or fill it i can't i clicked on the zone mode and then clicked two times on zone are but nothing happened .
 

You have to right click two times on the border of the zone, try it in a new empty ARES project, select the zone tool and hold the left mouse button to draw a rectangular.
When you leave the button it wil ask you the layer and some other info, press ok, you will see a semitransparent zone, then try to delete it.

Hi alex I have tried new pcb design, actually i have found the push button in ARES and added in design. im not sure about connection of this button i have checked the datasheet but nothing is there about connection, i just connect it manually. here I attached the photos, can you plz look at the photo and tell me if it has problem or not as im new and i think it should be something wrong.
also the zone area is appear again i dun know why?

It seems correct because it only has 2 connection point (two named 1 and two named 2), there is no alternative way to connect it.
