Hi there, actually I'm doing my master's thesis in Analog IC Design designing an analog front end, but the issue now is that our institute's cadence license is expiring on 28th Feb.
Could anyone please guide me that is it fine to complete the design without a cadence license, and get a publication done too? Or is it a necessity to complete the thesis with a Cadence license? Please guide me anyone, as I'm really worried.

Xschem and ngspice as long as your professor isn't in
Cadence's pocket (or feeling like they need to go along,
to keep licenses coming).

But academe is heavy on politics and secret deals, so
figure that out.

I've a cracked version of Cadence Virtuoso as well, can't I work on it? Like isn't it possible for me to use this cracked version for my thesis? Would it be fine or not?
Our institute is not willing to buy the cadence license again as it's really costly. I've this idea.

I couldn't say whether this "cracked" version is functionally intact.
Or otherwise compromised. But you're certainly free to try.
I wouldn't mention the pedigree though, it can't possibly help.

There are also old LTSpice, new QSpice, MicroCAP has a
schematic & SPICE all together, all of these can be had for free.

Finding relevent technology models is probably your harder
task.
