I built the cable and tested it. It works with the 89S53, 89LS53, 89LS52, etc. The only change I made to the schematics was replacing the 100 Ohm resistors with 68 Ohm resistors. I found that using 100 Ohm resistors does not work on all PCs. Also, the cable works without the comparator LM393.
The cable was tested with the Atmel software under Windows 98 and 2000. I should work with XP.
I'm using the AEC ISP over winXP, so... yes... IT WORKs!
But, it is slower (I suppose that winxp has mor restrictions in the use of the port, and that is the reason)
im using the atmel microcontroler at89s52 for isp progremming and i have a problem conecting it to the parall port in my computer so it will be good to the atmel interface so if u can tall me how to conect the cpu to the LPT ill be happy
I tried it two times to download the soft Zenner mentioned above from aec-site.
Two times it failed.
If there is anybody able to post this pice (about 60kB) here it would be great.
The filename I mean is aec_isp.zip.
