What does Mirrors stands for in analog design?

Hi,
I need to understand what does Mirrors (current....) stands for in analog design ?

it stands for mirroring reference current to generate bias current for your analog circuit such as OP AMP.

maybe you can refer ro the berkeley 240, Lecture 05
 

Mirrors

They were basically used to mirror the same value of current, by generating the similar condition of region, Vgs and Vds. However lwe can use it to amplify by increasing or decreasing the m factor.
As told earlier used for biasing the various circuits.

Many of our analog circuits needs Bias Current, We just use Mirror Current branch to setup its DC opperation point.
