Hi everybody,

Happy new year for 2024 !

A friend gave me a flow sensor from a water softener.

For the moment, I didn't success to identify the component on the sensor. I think it's a hall effect sensor, but even with the marking code (N130 ?), I don't know which is the reference of this component.

If somebody has some ideas, I'll be very happy.

Thank you

Hall sensor sounds reasonable. But I would look at the correponding sensor hardware to understand sensor operation principle.

Thank you for your reply.

From what I understood, there is a little magnet on a turbine. With the flow of water, when the turbine turns, the magnet passes in front of the sensor.

With that principle, the flow can be measured.
