Hi all,

i need and output of 200 Watt at 9 to 9.6 GHz bandwidth , and i have a GaN device with me that i can use for generation of 100 Watt,

i need to know the combining techniques that can be used for the generation of 200 watts power at the output.

please let me know the combining techniques used for X band frequencies.

You can use a 90 degree hybrid coupler at the input, and another one at the output, and put 2 fets in between. The 4th port on the hybrid couplers have a 50 ohm resistor on them. You can probably get (100W + 100W) -0.4 dB if you are careful for output power.

Thanks for replying,

But the phase matching will be an issue in case of 90 degree Hybrid coupler..!!!

is there any other method for achieving the same..?

Has anyone done this type of combiner before at 9 to 9.6 GHz ?
