Will it be more difficult to climb from bottom to top or from top to bottom while climbing the Ladder i.e. ascending or descending for a Human being?

Or Always it will be easier for ascending rather than descending or will it vary from person to person?

Climbing up, you're working against gravity. That sounds more difficult to me.
