The prototype:

Assembled:

Motor:
All started from the motor. It's a three-phase 380V with 1.5kW of power and 1440rpm's. It worked earlier with a pressure tank.

Cylinder:
Its capacity is 65l and 4 connections with a metric screw M24x1.5. It's from a breaking system from a trailer to transport bulk materials. (so called “boat”)

Compressor:
The heart of this construction has FMS A 66 and a serial number written on it. There is no information about it – it was painted with oil and reviewed.
Electrics:
  • The first element is a pressure off switch LCA-3. Its work range is from 0.15MPa to 1.1MPa. It works on 380V.
  • The main switch is a three-phase connector ŁUK E12-13.
  • There is no built-in motor switch off directly on the frame, because an external one was used, the same with left-right switch
  • Coupler 16A
  • Power wires 4x4mm^2 (in a plastic tube on the frame). The motor is connected in a star circuit

Workflow:
The first step was to build the wheels. The front wheels can turn left-right.
The frame is made of an angular 40x40 with a plate with some holes. The next step was to calculate and construct the belt transmission. A wheel on a spring with 170mm diameter, it's made of a 17mm belt. After that, a pulley to the motor was designed (150mm diameter and of course 17mm). 1270rpm's on the shaft. The length of the belt: 1250mm.
Now, the connection with the cylinder.
Firstly, the switching from the metric to inch screw. The connection was made by an industrial hose to industrial compressors. Along it a check valve and manometer (to 10bar) were mounted.
Below the bottle, a valve to drain the condensate was added.
Now, the compressor pumps to 6bar and switches off to switch on when reaching 4bar.
Pumping from 0 to 6bar takes about 3 minutes.
