how to work on linux from winxp using telnet by connecting to linux system

You need to open a terminal in a linux system. There is a lot of programs to open telnet or ssh session (teraterm, putty, secureCRT...). You only need one of this programs and the IP address of the linux system.

If I helped, please click helped me.

Using the software about VNC is a good way.

you can install vnc server in the linux
and install the vncviewer in the winxp system

for the detail you can refer the google, there are very much materials about it.

best wishes!

Using exceed in Windows, you could connect the PC to a Unix server, such as Linux, Solaris and so on. The only problem is to increase the computation burden in the server.

I suppose "putty" is the best for you when you are using Win-XP. And it's free.

I use the samba server for file sharing.

Amraldo
