Hello,

I would like to get your opinion about WLAN 802.11 access point design.

Is there somone which can recomend me compony which manifacture the MAC, Baseband Processor and RF Transmiter chips?
Should I use special chips for 802.11 or I can create the acces point using general purpose DSP?
I would like the solution as cheap as posible.
Is there some open project on this topic?

All informatio in this respect is wellcome

Thanks for your time
dora
