The IC appears to do a lot, however I don't believe the IC will perform miracles. Which is to say, you need more than the IC if you want to transmit power without wires.
There's the transmitter section, to broadcast magnetic energy. There's the receiving device, which has an antenna which is tuned to absorb the energy, and a stage to convert it to voltage/current.
For the IC to be of use it must communicate with another IC nearby. Through radio or magnetic signals. The receiving device will ask for power to be transmitted to it.
For small devices this can only work over a distance of a few inches.
The IC (or IC's) will not necessarily allow the system to transmit power over a greater distance than your coils and antennae already can achieve.
