Hi everyone,

Just a simple question. I know bond wire inductance causes ground bounce on power pin. How about signal pin? Do we care about the bond wire inductance for signal pin? If yes, why?

Thanks.

Hi James,
The affect is not significant as GND pin, since current sinks through the signal pin is lower. You might see some noise in signal. However, this become consideration when current change with time (di/dt) is high at signal pin since this will drop some voltage across bonding wire. If signal works at low frequency/ current is low then nothing to worry on voltage drop across.

Kumar

Hi,
If signal works at high frequency_you might see coupled nearby signals...
