can i use 7/38 , (26 awg , 0.15sqmm) wire for switching solenoid coil

my voltage is 24v

current of solenoid is 200ma

length of wire is 3 mts

kindly help

regards
kalyan

26 AWG/0.15 mm² is fine for 0.2 A related to > 1 A current rating, in low voltage application you would primarly worry about voltage drop which should be calculated separately. In this case it's in a 100 mV range.

Some standards, e.g. UL, require a minimal cross section for cables which must be observed in case.

i have theses datas

Gauge Diam Area R I at 3A/mm2
AWG mm mm2 Ω/km A
26 0,405 0,129 134 0,386

3mts ? 3 meter long ?
Problemo
134*3/1000=> 0.4 ohms!
with 24V DC => 59 Amps .. Burning !
How do you find 200mA ?
