couldn't u just hook the serial port of a computer up to a micro like a pic with i2c built into it? It would just take the async (RS232) data from the computer and pump it out on the i2c. If the two serial ports share the same pins on the pic you would have to use a multiplexer (under control of the pic) to toggle it's IO pins between the MAX232 chip and the I2C bus (and obviously reset the control registers to the appropriate comm protocol).

i want o use parallel port ofpc to control seial eepeom & i/o expander as well want to use addtional i/o of parallel port for control some signal.
