I have Windows 2000 professional + service pack 4 installed on 3 different systems including a laptop. All of these systems have the problem that they cannot go on standby or hibernate mode. Each gives a different error on a similar nature as follows

The device driver of "xxxx" is preventing the system from going into standby (or hibernate) mode. Pls close all apps and try again. If the problem persists, you may have to update the driver.

where "xxx" = COM1, Standard Keyboard, etc.

I have tried everything that I could think of. Plsssss help.
