AT90S8515-8 at 3.3v ???

Hi all,
Atmel specify that there AT90S8515-8 AVR device will run as low as 4v, but my question is will it run at all from a 3.3v supply if run at at lower speed maybe ???
I know the AT90S8515-4 will run fine at 3.3v as it is specified as so, but I only have access to the -8 devices !

Many Thanks.

Ron. :D

I heard a few oppinions about if this can be done in practice. I heard some people saying that they used 5V devices at 3.3V without problems and other people saying that they couldn't do this. One thing is for sure: Atm*el doesn't guarantee that you can use 3.3V on your device, so the best option is to find a dedicated 3.3V device. This way you won't bang your head against the wall in frustration, trying to understand why your perfect program won't execute correctly on your micro.

Re: AT90S8515-8 at 3.3v ???

If u use a low frequency from 450Khz to 800Khz AT90S8515-8 can work at
3.0V with very low power.
