Hi everybody,

I'm developping a wideband antenna using a monopole wich operates below resonance. I want to match this antenna to a 50 ohms matched filter. For the moment, i have tried placing an attenuator after the antenna, but the filter response is still modified.
Do you know other methods to achieve this wideband matching?

Thank you.

Hello,

What is the bandwidth of your filter? This will determine the bandwidth of the matching network and it would be useful to know this to select a possible solution.

Best regards.

In fact my filter is supposed to re-shape the antenna frequency response. Therefore it's important not to modify its response for the whole system bandwith (800 - 2200 MHz). I must match my antenna in this band so that the filter sees 50 ohm at its input.

Thanks again

Hi KaS,

Take into account the Bode-Fano constraints, that limit the bandwidth over which you can get a given matching for a prescribed load.
Regards

Z
