Hi, Gurus,
I opted an antenna, which is the 4*8 patches as the picture, conf.jpg.
I got solutions, and for the normal solution, its azimuth angle is wider than elevation, as the attachment, 2.jpg.
But I got one solution, the azimuth direction is almost teh same as the elevation direction, as the 1.jpg.
Because the antenna array's length is bigger than the width, so normally the azimuth angle should be wider than the elevation angle.
I am curious that what is the root cause for 1.jpg? Is there any pros and cons for this solution?
Best,
Tony Liu

Hi Tony,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your figure 1.jpg is showing the cuts at 90 and 96 degrees (rather than the expected 0 and 90 degrees); hence the patterns are very similar.
