Dear sirs,

why sometimes in a double layer PCB, the GND plane on top layer is grid and not a fill area?? What is the improvement? I think that fill ground plane is better than grid plane for EMI and EMC. Where i can find articles or documentation about GND tipology?

Thanks and Regards
