Newbie level 5
could you please tell me what's the point of learning the non synthesizable part of VHDL ?
i am new to vhdl actually i have just started learning it
i have learned that very big portion of the 1000-page book i am using is for non-synthesizable vhdl
i know that this is used for simulation purpose but does it really worth it ? or in other words is it really technically vital to do high-level system simulation ?
i want to learn VHDL for some embedded systems projects is the high-level simulation of the system a crucial step in the design process
i think a lot of engineers do their embedded system designs without the very high level capabilities of simulation vhdl
thanks
