Electrec Mic

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why for electrec mic usually 2.2K is used? What is the factor that determine the value of the resistor?

Thanks...

Electrec Mic

The mic contains a FET. Therefore a resistor needed to connecting VCC.

Assuming mic is short, you may select resistor for 1mA current.

For example: If you want to connect to 12V, you can use 12k. And 1.5k for 1.5V :)

Re: Electrec Mic

So the resistor is solely for powering the mic and has no effect on the output?

Thanks for the reply...
