2:1 return loss

hi all....kinda need an opinion about return loss results. Why do we have to design a model which will produce lower than -10dB return loss???..any opinions will do..thanks.

Re: return loss

hii , return loss is the reflection of signal power relative to the transmitted signal power. so it need to be as low as possible in order to have all the power transmitted .

Re: return loss

for return loss -10dB ..
i think the VSWR ratio 2:1 which are very much suitable for antenna in mobile and wireless applications... thats why mostely take the -10dB return loss bandwidth....................

Re: return loss

-10dB return loss criteria means, only 10% of incident power is reflected back to the source while the remaining 90% is passed to the load.

i hope this makes it clear for you

Re: return loss
