separeted vdd's

Hi
why are there some uC with separeted vdd (AVDD and DVDD )?

Re: separeted vdd's

They may contain peri interfaces such as ADC, PLL, .... where it would be desirable to have the supply rails seperated due to noise issues.

Re: separeted vdd's

A digital part of an IC is ussualy faster then the analog circuitry. The speed difference in returning to ground may cause noise affecting mostly the analog section. By separating the power pins to each part you create different paths for each part and performance will be much better. Although the pins are connected to the same power source, it is the layout of the circuit that will create the final result.
