NiCd has been banned for all applications bar emergency lighting.

so i would imagine that the price of nicd has rocketed, as it just wont be manufactured in volume any more.......so why are people still buying nicd instead of nimh?

nicd has NO advantages over nimh..surely?

Tahmid, may you be praised!.....i had been searching for five solid hours for a website giving price and capacity of lithium batteries with no success...now i see at least one of your www's i go to tells me this.........thankyou!.....my next task is to find batt pack solutions for [5W & 3hrs], (anywhere 4 to 20v) in Li-ion, Li-polymer, Nicd & nimh so i can show the size and price and lifetime difference to the boss.

thanks again
