Why a Voltage-to-Frequency for measurement purposes?

Hope this is the right place for the right post. Would like to ask regarding the implementation of a Voltage-to-Frequency converter.

Typically, under what form of application do we need to apply such converter? Mind if I ask for examples?

Is it true that such conversion before performing any measurement is a lot better due to the capcability of noise rejection?

Yes V-to-F conversion does offer some noise immunity. For example, FM radio.

It's also an easy way to transmit the measurement through a non-linear or AC-coupled communication medium.

V-to-F is also used as an analog-to-digital conversion technique. It is just enough to count how many pulses get out from your V2F in a given time ti achieve a digital measurement of your analog input voltage
